About
Art for me is about seeking to understand the rules that guide and then breaking them. Yes, I'm a Gemini, hence my love of both abstract art and portraits. Both provide a way to explore color, line, and form, structure and chaos.
I have always been fascinated with art. I knew I wanted to be an artist when my drawing was chosen to be the cover of our school's play in 4th grade. Then, in 5th grade, I won a 10 speed bicycle from Kellogg's drawing contest!

My life, however, had different ideas. I also loved math and logic, and wanted to be an architect to combine my love of art and math. I ended up in civil engineering, then environmental engineering, then website development, then UX design and research. (I am sure there is more in there!)

Art is the thread that connects all the pieces of my life. I love portraits and capturing personality in a person. And in abstract art, I see structure, math, and pattern in the lines and forms. It is all fascinating, and I am so glad to be able to share my vision with the world.
